goat walking for family fun in valparaiso indiana creme de la crop

Bored? Try Goat Walking with the Family

Owners at Creme De La Crop Farm in Valparaiso found themselves without the time to take their goats walking, which is a much needed activity for the health and well-being of the goats. So, they came up with a method to have family volunteers walk the goats – which has turned out to be a huge success!

A form needs to be filled out to participate . Click for the form. Please note if it is raining the event will be canceled (goats don’t like rain). If this happens feel free to reschedule.

Your time is valuable, and your generosity and efforts are appreciated. Goat walking volunteers are an important part of the local growing and diverse community.

Goat walkers need to keep the goats away from the gardens, crops and farm machinery. It’s recommended that you avoid wearing perfumes, colognes of any kind. And, do not bring radios, ipods, musical instruments or pets.

There are no costs or fees to volunteer to take part in the Goat Walking Program.  The folks at Creme De La Crop Farm ask that you take the time to visit the on-site farm store and you are welcome to donate to the Goat Feed Fund (tip jar).
