Christopher Kale Jones will pay tribute to Bobby Darin, one of entertainment’s most iconic talents, in Darin: Bobby’s Biggest Hits Live!, an exclusive engagement at Theatre at the Center (TATC) on Saturday, June 16 for two performances only, 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Christopher Kale Jones trained as an actor and singer at Northwestern University in Chicago. Soon after arriving in New York, he was cast as Frankie Valli in the long-running hit musical Jersey Boys. This starring role on Broadway allowed Jones to tour the country with Jersey Boys and he has appearing with Jay Leno and other favorite stage headliners. His talent and audience charm led to his work with the nationally touring vocal group Under the Streetlamp.
DARIN: Bobby’s Biggest Hits Live at Theatre at the Center is a rare stage opportunity to recall the musical success of crooner Bobby Darin’s biggest hits such as Dream Lover, Splish Splash, Mack the Knife and many other songbook favorites. Charismatic storytelling that goes behind the veil of Bobby’s fame provides the backdrop for Jones’ soulful interpretation of Bobby’s songs. He performs hit after hit in a concert that flows from the poignant to the celebratory. According to the San Francisco Examiner: “His knockout voice brings down the house.”
Darin: Bobby’s Biggest Hits Live! is part of TATC’s Artist’s Lounge Series, sponsored in part by Pat Binkley, which launched in April with Judy Garland: Come Rain or Come Shine starring Angela Ingersoll and concludes with Unforgettable, Falling in Love with Nat King Cole, starring Evan Tyrone Martin on Monday, December 31, New Year’s Eve at 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Individual tickets for each show are $45, Subscribers $40 and Students $20.
