Black Heritage Art Exhibit Feb 4th – March 18th

The Miller Beach Arts & Creative District is Proud to provide a glimpse into the artistic eyes of four influential Regional Artists from Feb. 4th thru March 18th, 2022 with opening Reception on Friday, Feb. 4th from 6-8pm.

Each one of these artists emphasize the significance of community and the black culture utilizing multiple mediums: Photography, Painting, Writing and Technology.

Featured Artists:
Tyrell Anderson from Decay Devils; Dr. Cranston Sedrick Knight; Karina Mitchell’ And Sanovia Reynolds Parks.

Tyrell Anderson of the Decay Devils will be shedding light on to the question “What does it mean to be black?” through is Unapologetically Noir 2022 exhibit featuring photographs of black men and women from all walks of life, the collection showcases diverse physical and mental characteristics of his subjects.

Dr. Cranston Sedrick Knight is a historian of American Foreign Policy and photographer. His work is photo-journalistic; it begs to tell a storyline, always transformative, seeking “the road less traveled.” As an artist he searches for narratives that will enhance his / our understanding of life.

Karina Mitchell is a fascinating talk show host and journalist who provides the latest information about beauty, art, style, and entertainment. The Karina Mitchell Show airs on the Access Network Can TV in Chicago and GAN in Gary Indiana as well as YouTube, Google Plus and other social media sites. Painting and creating art her entire life, this will be Karina’s gallery exhibit debut.

Sanovia Reynolds–Parks is a small business owner at Ask Snow Management and Events and will be representing Chicago’s Southside with her collection of paintings, Covid Collection 2021. She is very excited to share paintings created while sheltering in place; truly magnificent work to be experienced.
