Birding Festival

       Start making plans for a return todunes birding” with the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival, May 11-14, 2023. Celebrate the migration of birdlife through the Indiana Dunes region this May 12-15 at the eighth annual Indiana Dunes Birding Festival.    More information is available at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center, 1215 N. State Road 49, just south of the intersection of S.R. 49 and U.S. 20 in Porter.
     Interested participants can also call the visitor center’s information desk at (219) 395-1882 or the Indiana Dunes State Park Nature Center at (219) 926-1390.  Or visit each park’s respective website at dnr.IN.gov/parklake/2980.htm (state park) or nps.gov/indu (national lakeshore).

     Four-day registration is available for the entire event, or participants can register for the keynote dinner only online.  Registration and program information can be found at www.indunesbirdingfestival.com

     Over twenty partners have come together to make the festival a reality.  Additional signature sponsors include, Tropical Birding Tours, First State Bank of Porter, Chesterton Feed and Garden, Northwest Migratory Bird Association, Friends of Indiana Dunes, Dunes National Park Association, and Indiana Dunes Tourism. 

      In addition to the festival website, more information can be obtained at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center, located at 1215 N.
