“Bad Auditions by Bad Actors,” Opens June 7th

     4th Street Theater announces its upcoming production of Bad Auditions by Bad Actors by Ian McWethy, and promises an evening filled with laughter, mishaps, and unforgettable performances. This comedy will hit the stage on June 7th and run through June 23rd, 2024  Audiences will be immersed in the chaotic world of auditions gone hilariously wrong.

     Directed by Tony Thomas of Michigan City, Bad Auditions by Bad Actors offers a witty and satirical take on the theatre audition process, shedding light on the often absurd and comical situations that both actors and directors encounter. With a talented ensemble cast and McWethy’s witty script, audiences will enjoy a night of uproarious fun, entertainment and relatable humor.

     “This play is a delightful exploration of the eccentricities of the audition room,” says Director Tony Thomas. “Ian McWethy’s writing captures the awkwardness and unpredictability of auditions, and our talented cast brings these characters to life in a way that will have audiences of all ages roaring with laughter.”  Audiences will meet a diverse array of characters, from the overconfident to the clueless, each vying for their moment in the spotlight. As the auditions unfold, mishaps and misunderstandings abound, leading to uproarious moments that will have audiences doubled over with laughter.

     Featuring a talented ensemble cast of local actors from Chesterton, LaPorte, Trail Creek, Michigan City, Porter, Valparaiso, Munster and Lowell, this production is a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of our local theatre community,” says Producer, Sandra Assarian. “We look forward to sharing many laughs together as we celebrate the joy and absurdity of the theatrical world and the magic of live theatre.”

     4th Street Theater is an award-winning community theatre dedicated to bringing high-quality theatrical productions to audiences in Northwest Indiana and beyond.
