MissHolmes lockpick

Arthur Conan Doyle never imagined Lifeline’s “Miss Holmes”

**** Highly Recommended **** I thought Lifeline Theatre’s “Miss Holmes” is absolutely delightful.  On the other hand, if you’re a strict Holmesian, “Miss Holmes” might not be the play for you.  Christopher M. Walsh’s new adaptation is true to the Holmes legend, with a teeny, tiny twist – Sherlock is a female!    My friend Crista, who could probably recite Holmesian dialog in her sleep, absolutely loved “Miss Holmes”, and so did I.  I give “Miss Holmes” 4 Spotlights.

“Miss Holmes” runs through November 27th at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave., Chicago.  Running time is 2 hours, 20 minutes, with an intermission.  Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 pm; Saturdays at 4:00 and 8:00 pm; and Sundays at 4:00 pm.  Tickets range from $20-$40.  Free parking with shuttle service to the theater is available in Lifeline’s remote lot at the northeast corner of Morse and Ravenswood.  FYI (773) 761-4477 or www.lifelinetheatre.com.
