** Somewhat Recommended ** Victory Gardens new play, “Hillary and Clinton” exists in an alternate universe, which might be where it belongs. I’m reminded of the “Star Trek: The Next Generation” episode in which parallel universes collide, only in that show the situation was a lot more interesting. I was so bored by the meaningless dialogue that I zoned out once or twice. “Hillary and Clinton” gets 2 ½ Spotlights.
“Hillary and Clinton” runs through May 1st at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln, Chicago. Running time is just under 90 minutes. Performances are Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 pm; Saturdays at 3:00 and 7:30 pm; and Sundays at 3:00 pm. Tickets range from $15-$60. Valet parking is available.
