** Somewhat Recommended ** Victory Gardens new play, “Hillary and Clinton” exists in an alternate universe, which might be where it belongs.  I’m reminded of the “Star Trek: The Next Generation” episode in which parallel universes collide, only in that show the situation was a lot more interesting.  I was so bored by the meaningless dialogue that I zoned out once or twice.  “Hillary and Clinton” gets 2 ½ Spotlights.

“Hillary and Clinton” runs through May 1st at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln, Chicago.  Running time is just under 90 minutes.  Performances are Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 pm; Saturdays at 3:00 and 7:30 pm; and Sundays at 3:00 pm.  Tickets range from $15-$60.  Valet parking is available.  Free parking is available in the Lincoln Garage (formerly the Children’s Memorial Hospital Garage) about 2 ½ blocks south of Victory Gardens.  FYI (773) 871-3000 or www.victorygardens.org.
