**** Recommended **** The Paramount Theatre production of “Hairspray” is an upbeat, exuberant romp of a show. “Hairspray” isn’t afraid to bring serious issues like bullying, bigotry stereotyping and segregation to the table, handling them in a totally upbeat way. Your toes won’t stop tapping, so hurry and get your tickets to “Hairspray”, which I give 4 Spotlights.
“Hairspray” runs through February 21st at the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd, Aurora. Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes with an intermission. Performances are Wednesdays at 1:30 and 7:00 pm; Thursday at 7:00; Friday at 8:00; Saturday at 3:00 and 8:00; and Sunday at 1:00 and 5:30. Tickets range from $41-$56.
