Kidz Korna, Thriller Dance 2300, and StageCoach Productions have teamed up to help needy families in Gary Indiana. Kidz Korna launched their annual toy drive on Sunday December 17, 2022 at the ETA Theater in Chicago and will continue toy giveaways throughout the week. On Wednesday December 21, 2022 join the festivities near the world famous Jackson Family Home located at 2300 Jackson St. Gary Indiana at the corner of 23rd Ave and Jackson St. from 2- 4pm.
Valencia “Mother Diva” Dantzler executive director of Thriller Dance 2300/ host of Mother Diva’s House social media web series and stage mom to Paris Katherine (Michael Jackson’s only daughter) will be giving away, a mini backyard swimming pool, coffee maker, lamp shades, light bulbs, rare MJ pictures, clothes, shoes, and baby items. Kidz Korna is a non- profit organization that provides resources for children and families in need will be providing the toys.
Families can enjoy pizza, cookies, and hot chocolate with marshmallows chocolate fudge inside with whip cream. In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the “Ben” Album (Gary native singer Precious Hicks will pay tribute ) and 25th Anniversary of the “Blood on the Dance Floor: History in the Mix Album,”(Greatest Selling Remix Album of All Time), there will be a 50/25 anniversary cake served. A representative from StageCoach Productions will share history on African American Cowboys, and the Buffalo Soldiers.
The event is from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and items will be disbursed on a first come first serve basis. “This is our second toy drive in front of the Jackson Family home, and our 3rd year in Gary Indiana. We plan to decorate the street and hopefully next year it will be even bigger. I cannot help but think about how sad the Jackson brothers, especially Michael Jackson, and sisters were every Christmas due to their religion as Jehovah’s Witnesses; they could not participate in toy drives or receive toys for Christmas. Their father kept them working as performers on Christmas to keep their minds off the holiday”, said Mother Diva.

The event is dedicated to Toys for Tots volunteer John :”Jack Moon” Murazak who recently lost his life to gun violence due to suffering from mental illness.
