**** Recommended **** “Domesticated”, the new production at Steppenwolf, is an incredibly interesting play, but I’m not sure I liked it. It’s nominally about a woman who stood behind her man, but then she made his life miserable thereafter. Although his behavior was reprehensible, her choices certainly contributed to their woes. It did make for an interesting discussion, so I give “Domesticated” 3 ½ Spotlights.
“Domesticated” runs through February 7th at Steppenwolf Theatre, 2650 N. Halsted, Chicago. Running time is 2 hours, 15 minutes, with an intermission. Performances are Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00 and 7:30. There are no performances on December 24th and 25th. Tickets range from $20-$89. Parking is available for a fee in the adjacent Steppenwolf garage. FYI (312) 335-1650 or www.steppenwolf.org.
